Dr. Perlita Oneida Aldana is a highly respected Belizean physician specializing in Angiology and Vascular Surgery. A native of San Jose, Nuevo Palmar, Dr. Aldana earned her medical degree from the Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina in Havana, Cuba, and went on to specialize in Family Medicine and later in Angiology and Vascular Surgery at esteemed Cuban institutions.
Since returning to Belize in 2013, she has served in numerous prominent medical facilities including Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, Belize Healthcare Partners, and regional clinics across the country. Her work is marked by a deep commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare for all Belizeans.
In 2022, Dr. Aldana was elected President of the Belize Medical and Dental Association (BMDA), where she champions professional development, ethical standards, and healthcare advocacy. She also represents the medical community as a member of the People’s Constitution Commission, underscoring her dedication to national development through public health leadership.
