The Belize Medical and Dental Association (BMDA) is seeking a creative and detail-driven Communications Officer to join our team. This role is central to enhancing the visibility of the Association, managing public messaging, and supporting engagement with members, stakeholders, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage content for BMDA’s website, social media, and newsletters.
• Create communication materials, including press releases, event flyers, and reports.
• Collaborate with the Executive Council on messaging and public statements.
• Ensure consistent branding and tone across all communication platforms.
• Monitor public engagement and respond to inquiries across digital channels.
• Support event promotion and outreach initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with social media management and content creation.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools and basic video editing is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in healthcare or nonprofit communication is an asset.
